Victoria & Albert Museum

When we lived in Berkshire, we regularly popped into London from the home counties and the form was usually a family orientated activity in the morning followed by lunch out or at the home of friends or family. One of my favorite places to take the children is the V & A museum, not only is it free entry, and with four kiddies this matters, but they have the most inspiring café, the worlds oldest museum restaurant with its beautifully designed period rooms, where you can start the visit with a delicious coffee and pastry. From there one can choose to wonder in one of the many galleries and take in an exhibition that will spark interest in the whole family – The Future Starts Here, is a great option and runs until 4th November 2018.

For something a little more hands on, and actually this is our usual routine, we head straight to the Sackler Center and collect our backpacks, from there we can explore the V & A through creative and fun multi-sensory activities.

Finally I love a generous few minutes to browse in the shop as here you are bound to find something unusual that you will love, and it’s a great place to buy both kids and adult presents alike.

My advice would be to check the website top see what’s on so you can make the most of your visit.
